AI guidance
AI is changing how people work — but most of the advice out there is either breathlessly futuristic or hopelessly generic. If you’re curious about what AI can actually do for you, I can help you find out.
I use AI extensively in my own work — particularly Claude, by Anthropic — for everything from client research and technical problem-solving to writing, analysis, and project planning. I don’t teach from a textbook. I show you how I use these tools every day, and then we figure out together how they fit into what you do.
For individuals
If you’ve heard about ChatGPT or Claude and want to understand what the fuss is about, I’ll give you a proper introduction — hands-on, at your pace, with no assumptions about what you already know. We’ll start with what you actually want to achieve, not with the technology.
For businesses
If you’re running a small business and wondering whether AI could save you time, improve your output, or help you do things you currently can’t — I’ll listen to how you work, understand your goals, and identify where AI tools could genuinely help.
This isn’t about replacing people or automating everything. It’s about finding the specific, practical places where AI makes your working life easier — and helping you get set up properly.
What this looks like in practice:
- An initial conversation to understand how you work and what you want to achieve
- Tailored recommendations — which tools, which workflows, which problems to solve first
- Hands-on setup and guided practice
- Ongoing support as you build confidence
Digital skills tuition
Not everyone needs AI. Some people need help with the technology they already have.
If you’re not confident with file management, online safety, video calls, smartphones, or the everyday basics of getting things done on a computer — I can help with that too. Patiently, clearly, and without making you feel like you should already know this.
I also work regularly with creative and productivity tools — Photoshop, Lightroom, video editing, music production, content creation, and the Microsoft Office suite. I’m not a specialist instructor in any one of these, but I’m a confident, experienced user and I’m good at helping people get past the point where they feel stuck.
This is personal tuition, not a class. We work at your pace, on your equipment, focused on the things that matter to you.
How I charge
Remote and office-based work
£40 minimum charge, covering the first 30 minutes. After that, £30 per additional 30 minutes.
On-site visits
£40 call-out charge, plus £60 per hour.
There’s no minimum contract and no obligation to commit to anything ongoing. Most people start with a single issue and go from there.
What to expect
Whether you’re exploring AI for the first time or trying to get comfortable with everyday technology, the approach is the same: I meet you where you are, I listen before I advise, and I never make you feel rushed or stupid. That’s not how people learn.
