What data is collected
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and message are collected. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Form submissions are processed via Google Cloud and delivered to my email. I do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
Analytics
This site may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the website u2014 for example, which pages are visited and how long people spend on the site. Where analytics are used, IP addresses are anonymised. No personal data is collected through analytics, and no data is used for advertising.
Cookies
This website uses essential cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies. For full details of the cookies used on this site, see the Cookie Policy.
Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log standard web request data (such as your IP address) when these fonts are loaded. Google’s privacy policy applies to this data: policies.google.com/privacy.
No other third-party tracking, advertising, or social media services are used on this site.
How long data is kept
- Contact form submissions: kept for six months, then deleted
- Analytics data: retained for up to one year (anonymised)
- Cookies: session cookies expire when you close your browser; login cookies last up to two weeks
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of any personal data held about you, or to request that it be deleted. To make a request, email colin@macthing.co.uk. I will respond within 30 days.
Data security
This website uses SSL encryption. Customer data is stored on encrypted, password-protected devices. Cloud services used in my work (iCloud, Google Drive) are protected with two-factor authentication.
Data breaches
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, I will notify you and, where required, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) without undue delay.
